Dundas Six O Pho

Backstory

It all started back in 2015 with the screen-capped Facebook post on the right. On that day, I told myself if I ever had the chance to open, or even name, a Vietnamese restaurant, "Six O Pho" is what I would call it. I have a love for wordplay, and I thought "Six O Pho" was a perfect pun off of Vancouver's "604" area code. 

This dream of naming a Vietnamese restaurant would not come true until 2017, when I got a call that someone was looking for punny copy for a new East Van Vietnamese spot.

The Six O Pho Challenge

The Six O Pho Challenge had diners facing off against a 5 lb. bowl of pho, which they had to finish within 30 minutes.

The challenge went mildly viral in Vancouver with a video from Narcity (see below) and press coverage from  Daily Hive, Georgia Straight, Foodology, and Kiss Radio, among others.
